Sayed Qudrat Hashimy
Mr. Sayed Qudrat Hashimy born &
raised in Daikundi Province of Afghanistan completed 12std .in Rahman Ba Ba High School, Kabul, Afghanistan
& he completed his Bachelor's degree in BA.LLB (Hons.) in JSS Law College,
Autonomous Mysuru, and India as 1st rank with distinction Marks and
graduated of LLM as Gold Medallist from University of Mysore.
He has been an active participant in
many national and international programmes and conferences which reflect his
interest in Human Rights and International Relations. He is from a war affected
country and the roles that other countries have been playing in improving and
bringing about a change in the scenario of Afghanistan triggered his curiosity
and interest in International law.
He has worked as a secretary to a
Prominent Member of Parliament of Afghanistan and also He has worked as the
Legal Adviser to Commission on the Complaints and Petitions of Lower House of
Afghanistan for the period of two years and he had the privilege of seeing a
democratic country being formed in the first hand, the hard decisions that had
to be made and many other related issues. Though there are cultural differences
in the world, a greater good can be achieved by proper enforcement of
International law by upholding the Supremacy of each country.
One area that He, as a student of
law, has most keenly worked in, is the Model United Nations Conference. He has
been a Secretary General of 13 MUNs so far. Mr. Sayed Qudrat was the pioneer in
introducing the concept of MUN in the following Institutions, He is an
excellent organizer with exquisite coordination skills.

burning topics such as International Terrorism, Child Labour in Asian
Countries, International Law and International Security. He has participated in
various seminars, workshops and Human Rights Conferences, which includes
Seminar on basic training on Human Rights, Labour law issues and Challenges,
Seminar on Sensitizing Human Rights- A third world Approach, seminar on Human
Rights of Vulnerable Sections of Society , Human Rights in Contemporary
Perspective, Exploitation of Women in Asian countries and Workshop on
Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation, Workshop on Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals.
He has also presented a Seminar
thesis titled “Dynamic Role of United Nations Security Council to Maintain Peace
and Security in Asia with special reference to Afghanistan” which is an
emerging area in International law.
He has also written several articles

His experience by
participating in these activities has taught him several skills such as
management of time, leadership qualities, handling computer mechanisms,
research in subjects pertaining to International Law and Human Rights and has
given me an academic edge in the mentioned fields.
His interests
include exploring new and untapped arenas which has so far helped him both as a
student and as a person. He also repose his interests in subjects pertaining to
International trade Disputes Settlement, human rights, constitutions and
understanding and developing international relations. As an international
student he did not limit his extent of information only to the University
taught subjects. He interned in the Parliament of Afghanistan, Advocate General
Office Karnataka Government and many other Law firms’ and offices in India.
The thinking that
he has with the environment he is brought up in, if channelled in the proper
direction greatly help him make a difference in his life. He shall perceive it
as a chance to upgrade my knowledge and skills, and thereby contribute to the
development of the humanity and strengthening of the values of human rights
throughout the world.
He has a cheerful personality. He has
the potential to work within the shortest deadlines and I am sure his multiple
interests will help him meet the academic expectations of any higher
educational institution or university.
He has convincingly proven to be a
good team leader with plenty of drive and commitment, capable of taking bold
and positive decisions, abilities which are indicative of a singular capacity
for trouble shooting and achieving constructive goals. His desire to invest his
time and energy to learn in a foreign country and to use that experience for
the benefit of his fellow countrymen is commendable.
We wish him all success in his future endeavors.
